Passiflora Fountain for Isabel Hospice
A fountain commissioned for the Isabel Hospice in Hertfordshire and inspired by the passion flower vine. It is sited in the courtyard. at the centre of the Hospice and can be seen from all rooms facing inwards. The pond is raised, so that the fountain is easy to view from wheelchair height
Water wells up in the flower head at the top, and falls down gently over all the leaves, to make a peaceful dripping sound in the pond below.
The fountain is made entirely from copper. The leaves and stems are hand beaten to shape and then brazed together with a silver/copper brazing alloy.
